STEWART R. (RANDY) QUINTON

Stewart R. “Randy” Quinton retired from the US Department of Veterans Affairs as an executive leader with 38 years of experience in medical center operations, encompassing information technology, capital assets management and engineering, logistics, finance, and administration.  

 

His most recent position was as Deputy Director of an integrated network of 8 VA Medical Centers in the southwestern United States.  He has previously served as Chief Information Officer at both the integrated network and medical center levels, focusing on technology implementation and its adoption at the provider level, including telemedicine.  

 

He has also held the position of Biomedical Engineer, overseeing telecommunications projects as well as complex medical technology implementation.  

 

His formal education includes BS in Journalism (University of Tulsa), BS in Bioengineering (University of California, Berkeley), and MS in Applied Computer Science (Azusa Pacific University).  

 

In retirement, he is currently a Docent-in-Training at the University of Southern California Pacific Asian Museum in Pasadena, CA, and is a beginning jazz pianist, among other interests.
